There are several items in the lost and found in front of the HS office.  If you have lost items this year please come down and check the can.

 

Tutor logs are due today to the Guidance Office.

 

Cadets & Tutors:  Just a reminder to turn in your badges to the Guidance Office this week.

 

Boys Basketball Players need to get their summer camp, leagues, shootouts paperwork completed and turned in to Lisa or Julee in the office ASAP.

 

Tuesday, May 8 – Advanced Eat Off Campus.

 

Post-graduation ticket s are on sale at the high school office.  Post-graduation is at Incredible Pizza in Springfield.  HHS seniors may purchase a ticket for themselves and one for a guest.  $10 per ticket.  Each HHS senior going will receive $50 when they return back to Houston after the celebration.  Must turn in your permission slip to Julee when you purchase a ticket.  Deadline to purchase a ticket is Wednesday, May 9.

 

Tuesday, May 7 – Academic Awards Ceremony at the HHS Gym.  Middle School begins at 7 p.m. and high school awards will follow.

The annual athletic awards ceremony is Friday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the HHS Gym.  All athletes from all sports are invited and encouraged to attend.

 

Baseball – Tuesday, May 8 – Baseball here vs. Mansfield at 4:30.

Thursday, May 10 – Baseball at Seymour at 4:30.  Bus leaves at 2:00.

 

GUIDANCE OFFICE NEWS:

 

SENIOR ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

Seniors:  Graduation practice is Wednesday at 9:00 a.m.  It is mandatory that you are there.

 

Seniors:  Senior trip leaves Thursday at 7:00 a.m. from the high school parking lot.  If you are not going on the senior trip, then you must attend school or be marked absent.

 

SENIORS:  Make sure to clean out your lockers and return all of your textbooks before you leave school on Tuesday.

 

Scholarship:  Helping Hands Crisis Center Scholarship.  $500 cash.  Applications available at the Guidance Office.  Deadline to submit is TODAY.

 

Important Dates for Seniors:

May 8:  Senior finals 1, 3, 5, 7

May 9:  Graduation Practice at 9:00 a.m. at the football field.  Mandatory that you attend.

May 9:  Deadline to pay all fines/fees at the High School Office (cannot walk at graduation if you owe fines).

May 9:  Deadline to purchase post-graduation tickets at the High School Office.

May 10:  Senior Trip to Silver Dollar City.  Bus leaves from the HHS main parking lot at 7:00 a.m.

Any girls that will be playing basketball next year need to meet in the HS Gym tomorrow during ATLAS.

Battle of the Classes will be held Friday, May 4th in the Middle School gym.  Students will go to 6th hour for roll and teachers will escort their 6th hour class to the Middle School gym.  All vocational classes need to meet their teacher in the MS gym.  Roll will be taken. 

 

NO chess/checkers club this week.

 

FCCLA members need to meet during ATLAS on Friday for a club picture.

Summer Job Opportunity:  Babysitting but must be able to help tutor child with Math & English.  Must have your own transportation.  Sign up at the Guidance Office.

 

Baccalaureate is this Sunday, May 6 at the high school gym at 6:00.  Seniors planning to attend baccalaureate need to meet at the concession area of the HS gym Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m.  Bring your cap, gown & tassle.

 

All athletes that were unable to attend the athletics meeting need to stop by the HHS Office and pick up information including summer camps and workouts.

Ø  Once you have been accepted to a school, college, or university or have plans for after high school, please stop by the guidance office and ask for a FOOT to write on.  Students may fill out more than one foot, but please show us your acceptance letter.  Mrs. Stephens is creating a bulletin board by the water fountain titled Oh the Places You'll Go!
