Basketball "Pink Out" PDF Print E-mail

The Houston Lady Tigers basketball team held it's 2nd Annual Pink Out game on Feb. 11. In all, the team raised $2086.06 for Relay for Life. The total amount raised included t-shirt sales, silent auction baskets from each school building, as well as pink food items and carnival-type games. The night also included the "Proudest Pink Person" in different age categories.

Big thank you's go out to the following: The Bank of Houston generously donated pink mugs for the games as well as money for the airplane toss at half-time of the varsity; Neal's Sporting Goods for printing the t-shirts; D&L Florist for donating pink balloons; staff members in the coop, elementary, middle and high school for donating items for their silent auction baskets; the Lady Tiger Basketball players for coming to the game early and offering to help set up tables, signs, etc. in the concession stand area.

The Houston community and crowd were a great group of people who showed positive behavior and support for the night.
