On June 22-25, 2014, the Missouri Chamber Education Foundation will be hosting the 18th annual Leadership In Practice statewide leadership development camp. The program will be held on the campus of Westminster College in Fulton, MO. Leadership In Practice is one of the state's premier leadership emersion programs for students between their freshman and sophomore years (Class of 2017).

Congratulations to the golf team for their 5th place finish in the Seymour Tournament. Eighteen teams competed.

The WYSE team finished 3rd in the state competition. Individual results: Ely Todd 2nd in Math, Caroline Dunn 3rd in English, Alex Stevenson 2nd in Computer Science, Ryan Giesler 1st in Engineering Graphics.

Coronation practice for prom king and queen will be Friday during 8th hour. The following students need to meet in the lobby: Josilyn Barbagiovanni, Sydney Cremer, Caroline Dunn, Dakota Hugenot, Shirley Mings, Kaylea Preheim, Ben Hugenot, Devin Coulter, Cheston Malam, Stuart Lybyer, Trevor Merckling.

Entrepreneurship students will be passing out coupons today during Mentors.

Chess/checkers will meet Thursday, April 10, after school in Mrs. Oakley's room.

Students will need to go to their mentors during ATLAS on today and Friday.

There will be a girl's basketball meeting during ATLAS on Friday in the girl's locker room for those interested in playing next year.

All seniors need to go to the High School Gym Friday during ATLAS for Senior Pictures, 13 Year Seniors, Raymondville, Success and remaining Superlatives will be taken at that time.

Art Club will meet after school Tuesday, April 8th in the Art Room.

Chess/checkers will meet Thursday, April 10, after school in Mrs. Oakley's room.

Math/Science Club will meet next Thursday April 10th during atlas. Dual Credit placement testing for English and Algebra will be April 14th. We will start at 9:00 with the College Algebra testing and once that is done, we will move on to English (around 9:30).

Sign up for Prom Pictures - You may sign up for pictures now at the HS office. If you have more than one set of pictures sign up each set you want. Include all names.

The last day to order prom tickets from Ms. Welch will be Wednesday, April 9. Seniors do need to order a ticket to attend prom. All fines and fees must be paid before ordering a ticket.

SENIORS: Once you know what you're doing following graduation (college, work force, military, etc.) stop by the Guidance Office and sign a "foot print" for our bulletin board we're creating.

 Prom will be held on April 12, 2014, at the Community Fairgrounds, and, at that time, the Prom King and Queen will be announced.

Prom is Saturday, April 12th. Celebration for Life Post-Prom activities will be at Houston in the HS Gym following prom which will be at the Community Building. There will be a movie at Phoenix Theater, a hypnotist, basketball, volleyball, bounce houses and food. Tickets are on sale now at the HS office. The deadline to buy tickets will be Thursday, April 10, 2014. TICKET MONEY WILL NOT BE REFUNDED!

April 8: Leigh Harris, college access coordinator, will be here April 8 to meet with students to help them with registering for FAFSA, ACT, general college questions, applications, scholarships, etc. Sign up at the Guidance Office to see her.

Students can access a free ACT/SAT Prep at www.march2success.com. This is offered by the military but does not require any type of military commitment. You will need to create a login to access the tools. It includes flash cards and practice tests.

April 5 - Volunteer Event: Tree planting event on Conservancy property near Akers Ferry. The goal of the project is to restore forested habitat in some old fields by planting seedlings. We'll gather at 9 am and plan to wrap up around 3 pm. Lunch will be provided. On June 22-25, 2014, the Missouri Chamber Education Foundation will be hosting the 18th annual Leadership In Practice statewide leadership development camp. The program will be held on the campus of Westminster College in Fulton, MO. Leadership In Practice is one of the state's premier leadership emersion programs for students between their freshman and sophomore years (Class of 2017).

If you are interested, please come by the guidance office for more information. The deadline to apply is April 15th.
