REMINDERS

Students will go to Mentors during ATLAS when school resumes on Jan. 5

Juniors:  Get prepared for seeing your relatives over Christmas break.  Bring in your sold tickets and money, and then restock on tickets!  You can give the tickets and money to Mrs. Malam, Mrs. Oakley, or Mr. Snelling.

Students:  If you need a winter coat, stop by the Guidance Office or Ms. Cremer's room.

1st Semester A+ Tutors and Cadets:  Please turn in your badges and tutor folders to Lisa at the Guidance Office by this Friday.

2nd Semester A+ Tutors and new cadets:  Please report to the HHS main lobby by the Guidance Office during your tutoring/cadeting hour on Jan. 5 for training.

Pink Out Shirts for the Jan. 5th are on sale now in the HS Office.  Cost is $10 for short sleeve and $13 for long sleeve

FCA coat drive.  Please turn in your unused, outgrown, gently used coats to Ms. Cremer

New scholarship information has been added to the Guidance Office webpage.  

Any current female junior who is interested in being a candidate for Missouri Girls State June 21-27, 2015 needs to sign up at the guidance office by Dec. 19th.

MU is offering a Mini Med School that is intended for students who will begin their senior year in the fall of 2015*.  Selection criteria have been modified, and while ACT scores and GPAs are considered, the selection committee is very interested in the following:

Student response to essay question

Academic effort and success
Involvement in extracurricular activities (school and community)
High school science teacher recommendation

Student Council is sponsoring a t-shirt design contest for Hoop Queen.  Winner will receive a $25 Wal-Mart gift card.  The theme this year is Back to the Future.  There are forms in a folder outside the main office.  Submissions are due to Ms. Welch by Dec. 17.
