Auditions for the Fall play, Barefoot in the Park, will be held September 24th at 3:30 p.m. in the ISS room. Scripts are available now in Ms. Barnes' room if you would like to read the play before auditions.

MSU-West Plains will have a representative, Caitlin Crouse, at the Guidance Office during Atlas on Sept. 17th if you interested in the field of nursing and Allied Health offices. Please sign up with Lisa if you want to speak with Caitlin.

Reminder: Deadline to register for the October 25th ACT is September 19.

Junior class is selling raffle tickets for an iPad and $500 Visa Card. Tickets are $5/ticket or $25/6 tickets. Tickets may be purchased from participating junior class members, Mrs. Oakley, Mr. Snelling, Mrs. Welch, or from the high school office.

Attention A+ Students:  If you have taken the Algebra 1 EOC but do not have a Proficient or Advanced Math EOC or a 17 math subscore on your ACT, then you will need to complete at least 10 hours of tutoring with Mrs. Adey before you will be allowed to retake the exam.  Mrs. Adey is available after school on Mondays and Wednesdays during credit recovery.  A fall EOC will be given in early November and documentation of your tutoring hours must be in the guidance office before that time.

The cafeteria will no longer allow pepper to leave the serving line. If you need pepper on your food use it going through the line do not take it to your table.

WHAT'S NEW

Progress reports will be distributed to students during 5th period this Friday, Sept. 19.

The NHS meeting will be Friday Sept. 19th in the Library during ATLAS.

Tutor logs for the weeks of 9/8-9/19 are due this Friday to the Guidance Office (Sept. 19).

Starting with this year's Juniors, you will be taking the Statewide ACT on April 28th.  This will count towards college admissions but will be given during the school day instead of Saturday AND is at no cost to the student.  As more information is available, it will be added to the bulletin.    

Junior and Senior students who are interested in a college visit to MU need to sign up at the Guidance office.  The date is Oct. 2nd (during homecoming week).  We will leave at 8:00 and not back until around 5:00 or later.  Lunch will be provided.  You must be current on all fines and fees to attend and permission forms must be returned prior to Oct. 2nd.  Permission forms are also on the Guidance Office webpage under the October 2nd calendar events.

Juniors and Seniors interested in a college visit to State Technical College of Missouri (formally known as Linn Tech) need to sign up at the Guidance Office.  The date for the tour is October 14th.  Lunch will be provided.  We will leave at 8:00 and return around 3:00 but we may not make it back in time for the bus.  You will need to have your permission form turned in and fines and fees paid prior to the trip.

The Spirit Theme for tonight's volleyball game against Licking is Red, White & Blue.  Wear your American Attire.

A lunch has to consist of at least 3 components to count as a reimbursable meal. You must have 1/2 - 1 cup of a fruit and/ or vegetable on your tray everyday. The components are: meat or meat alternate, vegetable, fruit, grain and milk. A tray must have 3 of these 5 everyday. One component has to be a full serving of vegetables and/or fruits. The other 2 components can be your choice. You can have more than 3 components on your tray, but not less than 3.

There will be a Student Council meeting for Tier 1 council members on Thursday (9/11) during Atlas in Ms. Welch's room.

Senior Class dues are $10.00. Please pay your dues to Liz Harris or Mrs. Jadwin by Friday, September 26th.

The annual college fair is Wednesday, Sept. 10 at the high school gym.  9:00 Freshmen/Sophomores will be escorted

MSU-West Plains will have a representative, Caitlin Crouse, at the Guidance Office during Atlas on Sept. 17th if you interested in the field of nursing and Allied Health offices. Please sign up with Lisa if you want to speak with Caitlin.
