Welcome to Online Registration

The Houston R-1 School District, in an effort to reduce paper consumption, and save parents time has transitioned to an electronic online process for parents and students for the 2019-20 school year. Parents will just log into their parent portal and complete all the information and required forms.

 

Our online registration system is an easy and convenient way for you to provide the information that we need to get your student(s) registered or enrolled for the new year.

 

This is all a part of our current Student Information Systems from Tyler Technologies.  The company has cautioned us that parents will need to use a computer for this process and NOT a mobile (cell phone) device.  Parents without the ability to get to a computer will be able to come to school and use a school district chromebook to complete the process prior to school starting or enrolling your new student.

 

If parents do not have a current email address you will need to create one to access your information in parent portal. If you need help creating an email account, parents may come to the school for assistance. 

 

Some of the forms collect information about your entire family and some forms are specific to each student.

ALL forms MUST be completed. No paper copies will be sent home so this will be required for all parents.

 

Once all forms have been received/submitted to the office we may contact you by email or telephone if further information or documentation is needed.

For returning student(s) the forms show the current information we have on file for your family. You only need to enter any changes to this information. 


If your address has changed you will need to bring in proof of residency by one of the approved forms to update the information.

*Utility Bill
*Real Estate Property tax receipt (Personal Property tax receipt is not accepted)
*Lease/Rental agreement
*Landline phone bill (cell phone bill is not accepted).

For new student(s) to the district to complete the actual enrollment process you will need to complete all forms in addition to providing the following documentation to the office:

1. A copy of your child's official birth certificate.

2. A copy of your child's shot record.

3. Proof of residency by one of the approved forms as listed below. 

 

*Utility Bill
*Real Estate Property tax receipt (Personal Property  tax receipt is not accepted)
*Lease/Rental agreement
*Landline phone bill (cell phone bill is not accepted). 

4. A signed request for previous school records (if applicable)

Parent Portal for the 2019-20 school year will not be available until the end of July to complete the online process. Stayed tuned to Facebook, Houston Herald, and our District webpage for more information and the opening date.
