The Houston R-1 School District has been a participant of the West Plains Bank and Trust Company Community Debit Card Program since 2021. Since the program began in 2012, West Plains Bank and Trust Company has donated more than $400,000 to its participants, $4,466 of which was donated to Houston R-1 School District.

Each time a West Plains Bank and Trust Company customer uses their Tiger Community Debit Card to make a purchase at a retailer, the institution adds to a donation back to the district.
