Is your student up-to-date with their π™«π™–π™˜π™˜π™žπ™£π™šπ™¨? Although summer break just began, now is a good time to check. It is the policy of the Houston R-1 School District and a Missouri State Law that all students attending district schools shall be immunized in accordance with law against vaccine-preventable diseases. The following information is courtesy the Texas County Health Department:

π™†π™„π™‰π˜Ώπ™€π™π™‚π˜Όπ™π™π™€π™‰ π™Šπ™ π™Šπ™‘π™€π™ 4 π™”π™€π˜Όπ™π™Ž π™Šπ™ π˜Όπ™‚π™€ are required to have:

πŸ”΄ 2 MMR - Measles, Mumps and Rubella

πŸ”΄ 2 Varicella-Chicken Pox

πŸ”΄ 4 doses of DTAP with at least 1 dose given after their 4th birthday

πŸ”΄ 3 doses of polio with at least 1 dose given after their 4th birthday

πŸ”΄ 3 doses of Hepatitis B vaccine

(Most 4-5 year old children will need the MMR, Varicella and a DTAP with IPV before school starts)

Medical and religious exemptions are available and must be updated yearly. They are available at the school district as well as the county health department.
