Is your student up-to-date with their 𝙫𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨? Although summer break just began, now is a good time to check. It is the policy of the Houston R-1 School District and a Missouri State Law that all students attending district schools shall be immunized in accordance with law against vaccine-preventable diseases. The following information is courtesy the Texas County Health Department:
𝙆𝙄𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙍𝙂𝘼𝙍𝙏𝙀𝙉 𝙊𝙍 𝙊𝙑𝙀𝙍 4 𝙔𝙀𝘼𝙍𝙎 𝙊𝙁 𝘼𝙂𝙀 are required to have:
🔴 2 MMR - Measles, Mumps and Rubella
🔴 2 Varicella-Chicken Pox
🔴 4 doses of DTAP with at least 1 dose given after their 4th birthday
🔴 3 doses of polio with at least 1 dose given after their 4th birthday
🔴 3 doses of Hepatitis B vaccine
(Most 4-5 year old children will need the MMR, Varicella and a DTAP with IPV before school starts)
𝙀𝙄𝙂𝙃𝙏𝙃 𝙂𝙍𝘼𝘿𝙀𝙍𝙎 are required to have:
🔴 1 TDAP
🔴 1 MCV
𝙎𝙀𝙉𝙄𝙊𝙍𝙎 are required to have:
🔴 1 MCV
Medical and religious exemptions are available and must be updated yearly. They are available at the school district as well as the county health department.
