Welding Students

What a beautiful gift of creativity and craftsmanship!

The HHS Welding Program recently completed a stunning metal butterfly bench for the Evelyn Marie Dieckhaus Creative Center at the new Texas County Library in Houston. This special space is dedicated to children’s resources, and the bench is a perfect symbol of imagination taking flight.

This project is a shining example of the value of Career & Technical Education (CTE) courses at Houston High School. These programs give students hands-on experience, real-world skills, and the confidence to step into the workforce or further training after graduation. These opportunities not only strengthen our community but also prepare students for successful futures.

Behind-the-scenes photo of the making of the bench will also be shared—showcasing the hard work, skill, and teamwork that went into this incredible project.
