After much deliberation, brainstorming, collaboration, seeking input, etc., we have made the decision to dissolve ATLAS from the schedule, beginning when school resumes following the Christmas break on Jan. 3, 2023.
By doing so, each hour will be increased by at least five minutes. You will find the new bell schedule below. Notice that the afternoon classes are now hours 5-7 (as opposed to 6-8). The beginning time is still 8 a.m. and the dismissal time remains at 3:10 p.m. You will notice, however, that the lunch time has changed. We anticipate there will be a transition period and there may be some details to work out that we haven't thought of, therefore, we appreciate everyone's flexibility and patience in the upcoming weeks.
Your child's current ATLAS teacher will remain listed in SIS as "counselor" for your child. This is just so we can have a method of grouping students for needs such as scheduling assistance in the spring.
Increased class time will be very beneficial for many aspects and should increase learning in each classroom. We are excited about this adjustment and the opportunities for our students.
