INSIDE OUR CLASSROOMS 🐯 Our high school students in Mrs. Erin Johnson's World History classroom are learning about the Feudal system and how the world was beginning to change prior to the Renaissance. Today, Kayden Hance shared a suit of chainmail armor with third hour and explained how it was worn and what it was used for. Students had the opportunity to feel how heavy the chainmail and helmets were and discussed what it would be like to wear them in battle.
We would like to thank Kelsen and Kahla Gilbert for their generosity in allowing our students to get an experience with hands-on history. We appreciate it!

INSIDE OUR CLASSROOMS 🐯 Earlier in the week, Mrs. Olivia Poynter's seventh graders learned about chemical properties. They got to witness a chemical reaction by mixing yeast with sugar water and seeing it foam. Of course, they finished the process and created bread they got to enjoy the next day. It was their favorite lab by far.

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS 🐯❤️🖤 One of our preschoolers was caught being kind! This afternoon on the playground at the Early Childhood Center, Ryker gave up his turn when the swings were full to his classmate, Colton, and then pushed him. Way to go Ryker!

INSIDE OUR CLASSROOMS 🐯 Mrs. Olivia Poynter’s sixth grade science classes participated in a small experiment that demonstrated heat transfer from the Earth's core. The hot plate represented Earth and the beaker with water represented the Earth. The "chemical," which is just food dye in this case, was a great way to show students how heat is transferred, slowly, from the core upwards.
