The class motto was "now and forever, one and inseparable." The class flower was the yellow rose and the class colors were yellow and white. The faculty representatives were Mr. Linville Hardin, Mr. Bill Kaczmarek and Mrs. Gertrude Nelson.

INSIDE OUR CLASSROOMS π― Trevor Oravec came to speak to our HHS Welding class about his experience as an underwater welder and rigger! After sIx months offshore, Trevor took some of his well deserved time off to talk with our class. Hearing about the everyday life of an offshore diver was fascinating. INSIDE OUR CLASSROOMS π― It's dissection season! HHS biology students in Mrs. Randi Wilsonβs class finished earthworm dissections last week to learn how organ systems and feed back mechanisms work to maintain homeostasis. Zoology students are currently dissecting the dogfish shark to learn how fish body systems and anatomy differ from other vertebrate organisms.


Every Thursday in our Middle School is #ThemeThursday. This week, students are invited to participate in Hunting Day by wearing orange π or camouflage π’ They can also come as the hunted π¦ Just no weapons.

Our Kindergarteners held their annual Thanksgiving feast π¦ on campus today. Parents and guardians joined them for the meal and celebration.
Join HHS Basketball π―π this Friday night for some delicious food and preseason hoops. Chili will be served beginning at 5 p.m. and scrimmages start at 6 p.m. All proceeds will be split between the boys and girls programs.

#MovingForwardMonday - Our district has received a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Enhancement Grant that will help fund the purchase of a 30 x 48 foot greenhouse for our FFA program. βWe are excited about this addition on campus and looking forward to what Mr. Price and the agriculture department have in store for us,β said Dr. Justin Copley, superintendent.


Congratulations to HHS Volleyball π―π junior Angie Smith for her selection to the Missouri High School Volleyball Coaches Association's Class 2 all-state team!

Back-to-back tournament wins π π for the HHS Scholar Bowl team as the Tigers won Saturday at Clever. The team went 11-0 and averaged 391 points per game. The HHS B Team went 5-5 and finished 23rd.


The HHS cheerleaders gifted the football seniors a memento - jersey keychains with each player's last name and uniform number - to congratulate them on a great 2022 season. Thanks to both teams for representing our district and community this fall with excellence. We are proud of you all!

INSIDE OUR CLASSROOMS π― Mrs. Tory Wade's sixth grade Study Skills classes learned how to note take, paraphrase and reflect while reading about the Olympic Games. Today, they got to have their own Olympics and participate in Minute-To-Win-It games.

Trusses are going up this week at the Building Trades home π π¨ in Houston. With continued good weather, the students are making great progress under the supervision of Mr. Chris Reese.
