The HHS cheerleaders gifted the football seniors a memento - jersey keychains with each player's last name and uniform number - to congratulate them on a great 2022 season. Thanks to both teams for representing our district and community this fall with excellence. We are proud of you all!

INSIDE OUR CLASSROOMS π― Mrs. Tory Wade's sixth grade Study Skills classes learned how to note take, paraphrase and reflect while reading about the Olympic Games. Today, they got to have their own Olympics and participate in Minute-To-Win-It games.

Elementary students are invited to join the TERISA WARD READING CHALLENGE πβ€οΈ that begins Tuesday and continues through Nov. 17. All change πͺ collected in each classroom will bring the gift of reading π to all of our elementary students in Mrs. Ward's memory. There are pizza π and ice cream π¦ parties for the winning classrooms.

"Reading is S'more fun with grands" was the theme of the Elementary's recent book fair. Students shared their favorite memory with their grandparents with their memory balloons. Grandparents shopped with the littles and then had time to read the new books to them before they received their s'more kit to enjoy at home.
Elementary Librarian Dara Gulick said, "Shoutout to Mrs. Allen for helping the students create their artwork and displaying it in the commons. Thank you to everyone that came out to shop. Our book fair was a huge success!"




Sgt. Dale Pounds of the Missouri State Highway Patrol visits with Officer Josh Green, our School Resource Officer, following a campus evaluation. As part of the districtβs focus on safety, our buildings are observed and assessed quarterly by independent parties in cooperation with Officer Green.

Thirteen Houston choir members auditioned for SCA Conference Honor Choir on Thursday, and nine were selected. Selected were: Soprano: Lily Johnson, Aubrey Crockett, Miah Bressie; Alto: Ashlynn Burns, Hailee Cierley, Kaitlynne Garnica, Kaitlin Morgan-Flowers; Tenor- Ben Cook; and Bass- Connor McKinney.
