RECORD BREAKER‼️ Houston sixth grader Lyla Huffman ran the 800 meters in 2:49.87 on April 4 at the West Plains Open to set a new seventh grade girls' record. She eclipsed the mark of 2:51.32 set by Sarah Fraser in 2000.
And yes, she's a sixth grader. Lyla is one of a handful of sixth graders competing with our Middle School Track Team. Way to go Lyla!

Students had a great time learning how to make pancakes and waffles as well as teamwork! "I'm so proud of these kids, their manners, and willingness to try new things! Their cooperation was amazing," Mrs. Adey said.

Students using the design process designed a strategic puzzle. Some were more difficult to solve than others. Students will be making 3D printing prototypes of their puzzles starting next week. #TheBestWillBe #HoustonFutureReady

#ParaprofessionalAppreciationDay honors paraprofessional educators. They perform a variety of teaching-related jobs and often assist teachers in classrooms. Paras may work with students on supplemental enrichment activities, either in small groups or one-on-one. They may also help students complete assignments or practice reading. Paraprofessionals often work with students with special education needs and a variety of disabilities. They may also supervise students outside of classrooms and help teachers with clerical work.
Paraprofessionals work tirelessly each day to support students and teachers. We honor them for their service.
